As the population of different countries changes continuously, the list of top 10 most populated countries in the world also changes regularly. India is the most populous country in the world with almost 1.426 billion people.
The top 10 populated countries are not in synchronization with the top 10 economies of the world. Only US, China, India and Brazil are included in both the top 10 lists. Though the countries like Germany, The United Kingdom, France, Canada and Italy are all listed in the top 10 largest economies, their population size is under 100 million. This means the demographic dividend is not effectively utilized by the top 10 most populated countries.
In the list of top 10 populated countries, except US, all others are either developing countries or under developed countries.
